what do you guys think of this GPU. Gigabyte SILENT 1650Pro 256MB 128bit GDDR3 PCI-E GPU. its 25 plus shipping. here is a link to the actual add.

It wont play any modern games well at all if thats your aim. But to just run a desktop and some old school games its not a bad buy.

i want to be able to play at lease modern warfare 1. my rig im building wont be able to handle many newer games yet. lol.

that won't play MW1. Sorry but it will start up, but it will get REALLY laggy. You will see about 10FPS.

For a budget price, I suggest you go with a 4670.

1GB GDDR3 VRAM and its amazing. I have one and I'm running MW2 at max everything with 2xAA, Vsync and at 1680x1050 and i'm getting 78 FPS average.
But thats also because of my CPU.

the rest of my specs are simple

ECS G41T-M5 socket 775 board
Zalman CNSP9700LED cooler
case
450W PSU

the psu is getting upgraded
im getting an E8400 when i get the money
im getting at least 2GB ram when i get the money
im getting a vid card when i get the money

im upgrading from a socket A athlon xp2100+

If you want to play Modern warfare 1 then you should get a card that can play Modern Warrfare 2 or better because you will want to play that Kind of game sooner or later for sure don't waist your money on a card that can't play Modern Games that are available now.

Gibz... I suggest you save your money for better parts. I say this b/c otherwise you wont be happy with what you buy via putting it together part by part.

Yeah, your computers pretty outdated. Save up so you can get the whole package, like a new CPU, Mobo, GPU all together.
