psu and elecricity question?

if i have psu that is 750w but my system only use 400W the psu consomme all 750W from the electricity or only the 400W ?

it will only consume what is needed. basically it will only consume the 400w.

when a PSU is listed as 800 watts then that is the maximum load you can put on it, if you dont use 800W then it wont affect anything
