Windows 7 Moving Desktop to a second drive?

This might sound kind of bizarre, but I was wondering if there is a way to link or move the desktop into a second drive. For instance, drive D:/ instead of drive C:/, reason being is that i have a ssd as my boot drive and I'm used to downloading everything to my desktop, which is linked to drive C:/ if I'm not mistaken, so I'm wondering if anyone could help.

There is a way. You have to create a symbolic link to do it though. If you're going to do that, i'd just suggest moving your entire user profile to drive D:/ also.

A quick google search on moving user profiles should show what you need

Those specs up there? They're silent. Silence is good. Very good.
Your Core 2 Quad is based off of the Pentium pro in a few ways.

Having a lot of stuff on your desktop slows down your computer because it has to constantly refresh all those icons or something like that. You would be better off just clearing all your junk out to d: yourself or just changing the download location.
