Hello and thank you for looking at my post! I have been browsing these forums for a long time and decided to finally register and make a post. My budget is around $1500 I am building it with one specific game in mind. I plan to overclock it mildly. I have never built one before so I am extremely new to this, although I have an electronics background. This is the build I came up with, any advice is greatly appreciated. I really want to use about an 80g SS hard drive to store the game (final fantasy 14) and possibly the os ( w7, 64 bit) but I couldn't quite fit it into my budget. Cosmetics of the tower or noise level doesn't matter to me, only performance. I would like to use a full tower so I can upgrade down the line and just ease of access. I am pretty much open to any ideas or swapping out any of those parts. If any more info is needed just ask, I will be checking this thread often. I will be using a projector with this set up so I have to have a HDMI out.

DVD Drive Get this because it burns and writes and does lightscribe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136168
Video Card You must get this. It uses less power than a stock 470 even at 700mhz. Cooler is amazing, and it's much cheaper than a 480 but performs extremely close, if not better with more overclocking. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125338
Memory, definitely consider this model, I have it right now at 2300mhz. The memory you picked will not even come close. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...4&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICED&PageSize=20
Motherboard I would recommend this board also over the one you picked http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423
Spend the little extra to get the i7 950 instead for the higher multiplier and maybe some lower voltages http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115211&cm_re=core_i7-_-19-115-211-_-Product

I would also prefer Western Digital for HDD , and especially the black series.
Well for i7 and nvidia i dont know much as i got AMD but the only i can tell u for sure is that ur case wont dissapoint u :p

If you possibly can, get the HAF X. HAF 932 is a great case for the money, but the HAF X is definitely worth the extra costs. If you go with the Video Card I recommended (which would be stupid not to get) you will save $120 so pay the extra $70 to get the HAF X because you will always upgrade your video cards and CPU's often, but a really good case can last you forever. Get the HAF X :)

I agree with the WD blacks and the Haf X. Technically you do not really need lightscribe. You also do not need a 850 watt power supply, a 650-750 will be enough.

The LightScribe drive is actually cheaper and writes all the formats except Blue Ray, the one he picked on read, not write and no lightscribe, so more is better right?

Ok here is my new setup thank you guys so much for responding. What is a good SSD to go with (I need about 80g or so) I'm not worried about it breaking my budget. On the power supply, I would rather have waaaay to much than barely not enough. I also couldn't find the memory you were talking about. I like that haf x case it is pretty awesome.

Glad you took my considerations :) Hope the build goes well and when your done, maybe you will show some pics? If want to see my pictures just go to my page.

Your setup is pretty awesome, that case is good thanks for recomending it to me. I have two more questions how about this for a ssd
Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

and what memory sticks did you say I should get?

Awesome thanks so much! I'll post some pics as soon as I start getting stuff in. I'll probably order within the next few days. It's so nerve racking I keep thinking of tiny details that could make or break my project it seems so overwhelming but I think my best bet is to order the stuff and worry about the problems when/if they arise.
