Cooler for PII 955 BE to hit 4GHZ on m4a89gtdpro/usb3

I need some suggestion to hit 4GHZ with a cooler, (I´m not looking for water cooling) I´have a m4a89gtd pro usb3, and a OCZ 600W 80+..... my budget is around of 60DLS besides that, I´m going to buy it in NOV/DEC because I have to save the money till those months

When it comes to OC'ing everything counts but it is impossible to tell if one mobo, CPU, IMC, chipset, VID card, PSU, RAM, etc. is better for OC'ing than another without actually testing it to see what results you get from those specific hardware components. You could test ten identical sets of hardware and typically get ten different max OC results.

I can do 4.1 on my M4A785TD-V EVO with a 955 and Silver Arrow. It's stable but I just run 3.8 because it doesn't seem to be worth running 1.58v 24/7 (3.8 only need 1.4v).

As stated..you probably looking at something like the True Rev 4 with a push pull and some noise...and even then, 4ghz is hardly guaranteed for air. It varies CPU to CPU.

As to voltages, I'd personally like to keep it under 1.5v on a daily use computer, but I have given one more than 1.8v while benching. Funny thing about Phenom IIs, the colder you keep them the less voltage they require.

Thanks for the advice xoke, another thing is that I have a Thermaltake V3 Black Edition and I don´t know if I have some space for push/pull, I will find the measures before buying any cooler, the True is in my budget, another thing, is necesary to put a fan for an aftermarket cooler? or I can just install without any?

you need a fan. Yate loons are a good low priced option. Get them from petrastechshop, the quality is better there.

Just the clips. I use the True black on my sig rig...had to use mem slots 2 and 4 with push pull fans but it fits!

I tried to cheapo Coolermaster's I picked up a Compusa...then A pair of Thermalright's that were too big(140mm) that I rubberbanded together. They worked great. My everyday clock is 3.9 but I have pushed it to 4.05 but I can't keep it cool enough to check for stability....
