Send it back. It's fine but they should NOT mail one out like that.

It's not perfectly new. Was a test rad or something.

Send it back.

Who did you buy it from for future reference?

Could you tell me what about it makes you think that? I think all 4 of the rads are in pretty much the same condition, that was just the first one out of the box.

Wasn't cleaned properly? Rad sat with tubes down and liquid collected at the end. The oring seat areas have buildup on them. I bet if you flashlight in the end you'll see buildup. I dunno, I just would send it back in priniciple. Jab is good peeps, with a good mellow explanation and pics emailed to them I'm sure they could explain, or say yes, send it back.

What would this buildup look like? Never bought stuff like this, so would like to learn what to look for in the future. As a note, all the white on the threads in those pics is not like that when I look at them. Think the flash did that.

Compae to the other rad. Ultimately it might be fine. Doesn't take a lot of effort to send an email out to Jab. They are in Oklahoma, so getting late in the day and it's friday after vets day.

Send them pics of both rads. In fact, I'd like to see the same pics of the other rad for giggles. Can you use no flash and just use a lamp etc for light?

I suck at taking pics.
One note, one the second and third one, you can see the metal a bit on the holes. That's my fault, cleaning some of the water off, i pressed too hard and some of the paint came off.

The first image is all 4 Rads, the other 4 are from left to right. With the first one being the same one I showed pics of earlier.

NOT RESIZED

this is gonna be one hell of a system!

I'm bored, can't order the case yet. But I figure I'll go ahead and do the Block/Rad cleaning dance that Con mentioned in some other thread, maybe mount the blocks to the Motherboard and one 5970.

I have not, the sticky said you shouldn't need to, but I have no qualms doing so. I'll do that first then. I need to run to the store and grab a few things first, have to ship a return on my T-Mobile Vibrant anyways. Those things have flaky GPS, but this one barely worked at all. *sadface* It's such an awesome phone too, hate waiting.

"Just rinse the block(s) with distilled water. It is not recommended to take it apart as you may not have the right tools, or may face difficulty re-assembling it."

Also... build log. I'm pretty sure this is expected of me, but of course never done one. Should I start now, wait til I get the case or what?
