Consider adding notes to your links saying what the parts are, that way people won't have to click every single link to see what you're planning.

i spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out how
EDIT: and Trap, i have heard it from reviews, but i have no problem taking your word for it.

If you're concerned about price for performance, Newegg has a Phenom II X4 940 for $95, it's that cheap because it is an OEM version. Spend the $30 for a Hyper212+, and for $25 more, you have a much faster CPU plus tons more headroom to OC. Even if you don't want to OC, you'll end up with lower temps and still a faster CPU.

And yeah, the only company that real has DOA problems is Seagate, and those are only on 1tb+ drives.

chose to get the PCU and the HS/fan combo you talked about only thing to figure out is how to install it but thats nto rocket science, only thing i am concerned about is that i changed my Hd to a 1tb samsung and that only because you said 1tb+ drived have Doa problems howeve i do not know if you said that pertaining only to seagate or not
and just for clarifications sake when it says am2+ thats not like some specific type of slot is it? it just means am2 and above, ie: am3,4, etc

Yes AM2+ is a specific cpu socket what is your concern? Whether the heatsink will fit? If so then yes it will. As far as getting a DOA product goes it's no higher from brand to brand overall especially under 1TB.

my concern is that my mobo has only an AM3 socket so i would have to pick another CPU or get another mobo to deal with the AM2+ socket right?

Edit: in which case i got AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black CPU that comes with the HS/fan

It's not on the cpu support list but I can't think of any reason why it shouldn't work with your selected board. I'll let someone else confirm though

one more questions to pester you guys about then i think i am good(this is my first build btw nervousness to the max) is 500W enough for this especially if down the road i wish to add a video card of some sort

Yes it's enough with most any videocard you could add except the highest range...if you're planning high end later tell us now so you don't need to upgrade the power supply later on.

i doubt its going to be that high end the only things game wise i would play would be wow and starcraft 2 + im a poor student lol so ya
