Stats in Sig?

Any chance we will be able to place our stats in our sig someday?
Would like to have something like FAH users have.

I shot IMOG a message for you, so he knows this thread exists. He will be the guy that can set this up.

I can say part of the deal with the F@H stuff is that the colors very closely match the forums colors. Can that signature have its colors altered like the F@H ones can? What about the image to the lower left, can it be removed?

F@H were let through because it looks like it's simply text in someone's signature. If you can do that, i'd say there is a stronger chance.

Very understandable about the colors...

Looking into it now to see if something can be done.

Would this suffice?

the colors can be customized.
It's not that important to show the stats, but hey never hurts to ask..

That isn't too bad. Does it let you customize the color more? The folding one is very close to the background, so it blends in. Also, that font size is large for our signatures.

That's about it as far as blending....

No problem if we don't want that in the sig.....

Perhaps, with a little bit of research, I'll find an alternative until then.....
I must concur the current stats look awful.

I have a stupid idea but perhaps I can create a script and run it on my server. Gives me something to do until the wife gives the mark of approval to go out and buy some new toys.

AFAIK, there isn't any way to do rosetta or seti stats in a sig that appears to be only text (like folding stats here). Unless you start pulling stats and creating the images manually.

I tried to find one, but its harder trying to find them for boinc than it is for F@H. If you can find a way to make it happen and it looks more or less like F@H stats and fits with the current sig rules, we'll allow it.

If you want to roll your own stats image script, it just takes a little php to create the image and do the text - from what I've heard looking into it, getting the text laid out where it belongs is a pain/tricky and just takes some trial and error. If you know anything about php, or if you want to give this a shot, I can provide an example to build from or compare against to give you an idea of whats required. If you get it working, I could host it or put it on overclockers.com for you also.

I would be interested in seeing what you have, Can you pop me an IM?

It's something I got from Jason (I think thats his name, been a while) over at EOCF - part of what he uses to do the stats over there... I'll dig through my email tonight or tomorrow and see what I can send you. Been something I'd like to pursue myself, but haven't had the time.

I started with F@H after clicking on someone's stat link in their sig, it's a pretty good way to get more people working on it.
