Weird result when OC

Rig:
Rosewill R103A Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 350W 20+4 pin connector Power Supply

Intel Pentium E5300 Wolfdale 2.6GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor

ECS G41T-M(2.0) LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

WINTEC AMPX 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory

MSI N9500GT-MD512M GeForce 9500 GT 512MB 128-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16

Questions, I OC'd the video card ot max with GPU temps at 50-60C, only running SC2 so thats not asking alot, core 700, shader 1800, mem at 550. But the card retailed as a 9500GT and it shows up in MSI after burner as a 9500GS, thoughts.

As well, i went into the Bio and oc'd the proc from 2.6 up to 2.99, but when i go into windows and look at it, it is listed as:
Intel Dual Core @2.6
2.99ghz

Why is it listing stock AND OC'd? I am totally new to this, my first comp i built myself, obviously it is VERY out of date but total cost was less than 300 with everything including HD, Optical, even though i didnt list them. Advice, thoughts? Learn me cause I got an itch to start saving and planning the next one, but I know enough to know that I DON'T know enough..... if that makes sense!

Check CPU-z and GPU-z, these are free and in my opinion more reliable. Windows is just saying the processor name and default speed with it (2.66GHz) then detects the cpu running at 2.99GHz as expected. MSI Afterburner may have just incorrectly recognised it, or you have recieved a different card :/

try rivatuner for the GPU. Mine says the same thing about the CPU w/ stock and overclocked speed but download CPU-z as stated

Afterburner is made in conjunction with rivatuner but published by MSI, still think straight up rivatuner is a better choice? I like AB's custom fan speed curves, been able to keep temps below 65 in game...

Afterburner and eVGA Precision are built on the RT code. AB and Precision are more user friendly, but they should all work well.

Yea AB definitely has a really nice look to it and ive always used rivatuner but it looks like i will be using AB once i get a gtx 460 because AB lets you adjust core voltages.
