Hey everyone, I just got a new laptop and I was wondering what is the different between sleep and hybrid sleep? Does hybrid sleep save more energy than regular sleep? Thanks!

Afaik...

Sleep = save to RAM, draws power
Hybrid Sleep = save to RAM and HD as backup in case of power loss, still draws power
Hibernate = save to HD, doesn't draw power

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Guess it's time for me to go back to hibernating as sleep draws too much energy from my laptop. Unless someone can tell me how to configure my sleep mode to make it draw as little power as possible.

Hibernate is your best bet. But I've also run some laptops on suspend (shutting the lid) for several hours before opening back up again.

Hibernate is the same thing as "off" and should take just as much power (none).
