I've just bought a new system, and I feel like the memory benchmarks I'm seeing might be a bit low. Everything is stock - 9-9-9-24 timing, no overclocking of anything.

I know the i7 980x has slightly lower memory bandwidth than the other 900's, but I'm seeing read/write/copy of around 13MB/s & latency of 62ns in Everest. (See attached pic, which actually has cpu overclocked slightly.) Do those numbers seem reasonable? The benchmarks I've googled up are sort of all over the place.

Hey meeotch! I saw that your thread got caught in our spam filter and released it so the thread is visible. Others should be able to respond now. :)

The 2nd referenced link does not function. In the first reference they use 1600 MHz. RAM frequency vs. your 1333 MHz. In my experience there is minimal system performance difference with 1600 MHz. vs. 1333 MHz. due to the bandwidth available on newer CPUs.

YMMV

What's your QPI at? That needs to be raised.. You should be in the 18-22k "points" per category.

I, myself, with my little i3 am getting the same results.
