Nvidia Official Roadmap Of 2002!

Well, looks like we can say goodbye to the GeForce3 series all together. Nvidia plans to only produce the GeForce2/4 series of graphics cards. This includes,

GeForce2 MX200
GeForce2 MX400
GeForce2 Ti 100
GeForce4 MX420
GeForce4 MX440
GeForce4 MX460
GeForce4 Ti 4200
GeForce4 Ti 4400
GeForce4 Ti 4600

The GeForce4 Ti 4600 will be the most interesting of them all since Nvidia has given Graphics card manufacturers permision to release official cards out of spec. Companies include ASUS, Elsa and Gainward will all make the GeForce4 Ti 4600 run @ 330MHz / 660MHz operation giving a solid 5% performance boost over the original spec.

While I'm saying this, I will add that the Ti 4200 will also be a very interesting card since it will cost much less than the 4400 and just a little more than the MX460.

Finally, I will say that Nvidia is on a twelve month product cycle this time so I wouldnt expect the Eclipse (NV30) till Q1 2003. At this time, things will really heat up between ATI & Nvidia.

nope,
they are on a 6 month product cycle like they have been, they release a new card then 6 months later they revamp the card and release the ultra version. then 6 months later a new card, then ultra, etc.

AHHH the good ol' days :D

If you count the beefed up versions of each series then yea, its a six month cycle but NV30 definately wont be here till Q1 2003 at least.
