Windows 7 DCOM/Plug and Play/Power service has ended unexpectedly

Ever since I installed Black Ops, I've been getting either a DCOM server process, plug and play service, or power service failure and an automatic restart. I have never had this problem before. Even disabling DCOM services althogether didn't seem to help. (If it helps, it always seems to stop on a specific loading screen in single player) The rig is listed below with Windows 7.

Thanks

Is the system stable?
Have you tested for stability recently?
Does it have these problems at stock speeds?
What are your system specs?
What else have you tried?
What else has changed? (If "nothing", stop and think about it)

The last time I tested for stability was about 6 months ago, but I haven't changed anything since then.
It tested Prime95 and SuperPi stable

The only thing that seems to have changed is installing black ops. I never had this problem before it, nor any other recurring system errors, etc.

SuperPi isn't a stability testing program. It is a benchmark.

Unless Black Ops is running in the background, it shouldn't cause issues. Does it only have a problem when you are playing?

Yes, sorry I forgot to mention that this only occurs when the game is running.

That really sounds like a stability issue. What happens if you run Furmark and let it go for a few hours? Does it have the same problem?

I ran Furmark for a little over 2 hours without a hitch, from the googling I've done, there seems to be a similar problem especially with windows 7 and the same error message. Could it be something with the OS?

It is possible. I've never heard of it, though.

I have exactly same problem as you. COD BO cause to stop some system services as you time and this happend only if game loading map (SP). If i minimize game to taskbar/tray, the problem is gone.

I have overclocked PC, but tested with LinX and Prime95(blend) for long time and this only happens with this game. So i dont solve it anymore, but its lame that game has problems on some configurations

I have this exact problem. My system is stable. Only happens when running Black Ops. I had originally thought it was my UPS losing connection with my PC, but that's not it. It has happened three times, the first two times there was a KNOWN player in the server using hacks. The third time (today) I can't say I know that for sure.
