need opinions and suggestions on laptops

ok so my girlfriend wants to get her little bro a new laptop, shes not looking to spend much trying to keep it under 500 (she wants to keep it in under 450 but ill convince her to get something a little better if it seems worth it and... i already kicked her in the shins for telling me after black friday already passed)

Solid little laptop

If you're patient you can pick up a similarly speced laptop from the Dell outlet store for around $300 or so. It's mostly just a matter of waiting for a decent coupon offer, which they seem to have every couple of weeks, and a configuration you want at your price point.

hmmm ill keep an eye out on those dell coupon offers if the item were for me i could wait an eternity but considering its a xmas present I'll prob be limited on time
