After the comp crashes, and i turn it back on I get a CPU overheat warning. This has obviously been going on a long time now, and I've tried almost everything you could google that I myself can do and know it can be done: IE checking all video and cound drivers, disabling sound controllers, renabling sound controllers, downloading the latest Realtek audio drivers, restoring the computer to a point that it worked last, removing the latest windows drivers, reinstalling the latest windows media drivers, running various registry programs, putting system into safe mode then removing the Realtek and letting the comp reinstall those drivers to a desktop and the list goes on and on.

Ive tried everything I know myself I can do, I mainly use the comp for gaming and school projects but if the machine crashes on SC2, I dont think it would be stable enough to run any of the advanced imaging software im planning to purchase.

I have recently run Prime 95 and discovered the machine crashes after little more than a minute of testing. Where should I start to look now. Currently trying to isolate the issue, but not looking successful, does anyone know where I should turn or what i should try? Please help, finals are coming up and im growing desperate trying to cram all the work in at the school.

Thanks.

I can't wade through that big mess of text, but this begs the question, are you overclocking at all? Unstable machines do some pretty weird stuff.

Sorry I can't be of more help, bump so someone with more know-how will see it.

Sounds like your CPU is overheating, then. No amount of software tweaking is going to fix that.

Is this a computer you built yourself, or one that you bought? It would be nice to know a little bit more about your system.

If you haven't cleaned it in a while, open it up and blow out all the dust. If there's a ton of dust, that could be enough to fix it. If it's pretty clean inside, there's some other things to try.
