I'm using an Lanboy Air at the moment, and it is a fine case but the issues pertaining to water cooling with it are going to be a problem in the future. I've still got another forty days or so to return it, and if I figure out a good setup for liquid cooling by then then there is a pretty good chance I will. Obviously if I am going to get the most use out of what I have currently and plan on adding in the future then I need to go with a liquid solution. So that is why I am asking if there is really any case out there that tops the 800D in terms of liquid cooling.

That HAF-X has a little less room but superior airflow...Im also selling a HAF-X in the classifieds section for dirt cheap.

Haha, you tempt me my good sir.

I am being kind of lazy though because if I was going to buy a new case I'd have to completely disassemble the top of the Lanboy.

PROTIP: The Noctua DH-14 does not play nice with that case, I actually got the F'ing heatsink stuck due to poor planning.

mountain mods and danger den cases are specifically designed to be watercooled and are super easy to work with...they're also expensive.

The HAF 932 will save you over $100 and allow the same watercooling configurations. It also has way better airflow, which is actually quite important when you're watercooling, as your mosfets and other motherboard-based components won't be cooled as well with the 800D.

Corsair 800D actually has weak cooling performance when it comes to air movement/flow, but it's a beautiful case that is easy to work with. However, it's lack of airflow will be of detriment.

I'd save money, go with a HAF 932 or HAF-X and you can use the money saved on the difference between the 932 and 800D on one of these bad boys to get you started on watercooling:

Thanks for the suggestion Sean. In this case money isn't really an issue, but I do appreciate saving it.

Now all I need to do is figure out exactly what I need to get this thing going.

Newegg.

She works like a beauty, but getting her to work in the first place was a nightmare.

The problem with watercooliing is it takes lots of space if your going to have a HOT CPU and more than one modern top of the line GPU. Then it's always more than one rad, and getting it to all fit can be very difficult. Thats where the special cases like Danger Den and MM come into play.

Cases last pretty much forever. So spending the extra money works pretty well.

The 800D holds a 120x3 and a 120x2 at the bottom with some modding work. That amount of rad is usually fine for a CPU 2xGPU setup. Unless you need uber overclocks and super quiet, it's a good case. Still can't beat a case that will easily hold a 140x3 rad or more.

Alright Conumdrum. If you were going to recommend or suggest a Mountain Mods/Danger Den case which one would you say?

Well...I'm not con, but that all depends on your personal needs, the CYO's are all very flexible and quite nice, check em out...for dangerden, personally, I like the look of the doublewide.

Don't go so expensive on those cases, as you're new to watercooling.

The 800D is plenty enough, as will be a HAF 932. I know cost isn't a issue, but being practical is a good thing.

You can easily run three radiators (3 would be easily achieved if you mount a radiator on the lower side intake in place of the 220MM fan. Then you can still mount a 360MM up top and do an external 240 or 360MM off of the rear exhaust fan.

Plan on watercooling your GPU, or just CPU?

I was really just curious in his opinion as I don't like the look of any of their cases, haha.

And while I may be new, to be honest this was my first build but I pulled it off without a hitch outside of the IBIS troubles. This could have potentially been easier had I bought a different case but hindsight is 20/20.

If I had a different Mobo I would WC everything, but seeing as how the Big Bang X-Power doesn't have any chipset, or full board or mosfet blocks that limits my options a tad. I plan on doing the CPU and the two 580's (getting the second one soon). I honestly wish that I had more PCI-E slots but of course I cannot return the Big Bang (limited replacement policy). It'd be nice to WC my entire board but again... no one makes any blocks for the Big Bang. Kind of disappointed in Danger Den and EK about that, but my fault for not doing enough planning.

Cooling the motherboard/mosfets is entirely necessary. Many people who watercool seem to think the CPU is the only thing that puts off heat. Your VRM's can run really hot and without good airflow and cooling of the mosfets, well, we all know what too much heat can do.

Watercooling the NB and mosfets isn't necessary, but cooling them with decent airflow/active cooling is a must, trust that.

I'm still trying to figure out how to best cool the Mosfets on this thing. The temps on them is twenty Celsius higher than my CPU and my GPU, but it seems like this is normal for the Big Bang.

Yea, the fets on that thing run hot. you could always get some of those enzotech sinks or something...but honestly I think they're designed to run hot.
