Hi, im new here at the forum and already used the search option, so the last thing is to create a new post!

Well, i have the infamous Q6600 at my hands and i have a slight problem, i just dont get the idea of my mobo to OC the whole thing.

And cant seem to find the right FSB and Volt for my CPU! (I may be stupid)

But the setup i have is

CPU:Q6600 (I Believe it's the G0 cause the previous owner got it to 3.2 stable)
Motherboard: Asus P5Q SE2
Mem: Corsair XMS2 2x2 PC-6400 at the easy 533mhz

So, if there is any1 with the kinda setup, atleast on the mobo, could you advise me the settings?

Kind Regards
PhilippK

You may be looking for a couple things. The explanation for understanding how to overclock your system is here:
http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=515316

It's linked from the Sticky thread right at the top in this Intel CPU forum (stickies in every forum generally contain directions to really useful information):
http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=645416

If you are looking for recommended settings, or maybe a settings template, those are often drummed up around here too - just depends if you want someone to tell you what settings to try, or if you want to know what you are doing.

Here is a thread which suggests filling out a template for your board, doing this would be your first step towards someone advising you on which settings to change:

i have a q6600 as well, and i think the same memory if your using the same ram as in my sig (i just have 4 sticks of what you got). i just don't have the sama mobo.

what's your goal for your OC? i'm not going to point you to a page for settings just yet, cause you may not even find what your looking for.

when i had mine at 3.2, i had fsb holes getting to 3.2, so if your attempting to OC, and it's not posting properly, try skipping to a higher FSB until it post's correctly.

also, what are your current voltages atm?
