Please help quick (word problem)

My dream position at the company i currently work work for just opened up today!!!

I got home went to open my resume on my work laptop only to get the "mswrd632" error... i did the "fix it" option on M$'s site which go rid of the error but now all of my word documents are 17 pages worth of blank documents. Is there a way to recover?

That sounds like its a problem with word and not the doc. Have you tried opening them on another computer or with something like open office?(backup first)

Well this just isn't my day, my mint machine would not boot and thanks to MicroShaft neither of my laptops will open any word documents. Luckily I had an reason to say to my wife "yes it is necessary to have four computers in a household of two." I download open office on my gaming pc and found my third backup of my resume and voila it worked (thanks for the suggestion waffles!)

For any other members who might run into this problem...I tried opening the original files with open office and it appears that word has corrupted all of them. Google and I were unsuccessful at finding any method for recovering these. Thank God for backup backup backups.
