I have an asus g1sn-x1 with the following
intel t5550 @ 1.83ghz
nvidia 9500m gs
no matter what I do, my processor wont run at the rated speed even under load.
The processor sits at 997.0-999.0 MHZ / 0.950 V
1. no speed step in bios
2. power management in windows, setting min. processor to 100%
3. installing up-to-date drivers (chipset, graphics etc etc)
4. no cpu throttle even when under HEAVY load ( prime 95, games, 3d mark ) very laggy game play!
BUT...
when the laptop boots up in safe mode, the cpu runs at its rated speed, therefore a program or file or driver IDK is limiting and taking control of the cpu speed. maybe I can cancle out that service or process so it wont mess with the cpu?
I need help! this is really irratating.
