Hey guys, bout my new computer today, and for some reason my computer wont recognize my 2 TB WD green hard drive.
I can plug in an old WD 256 gb drive and it reads it no problems...
any help?

can windows 7 recognize 2 TB in a single drive?

okay... update...
I still can't access it, but Windows 7 has it listed in device manager...

I tried updating drivers... it says they're up to date...

maybe you need to initialize it

Right click on My Computer > Manage > Disk Management > Look for the HDD > right click and Initialize.

I just had this same problem, but with an older drive. For some reason Windows never assigned it a drive letter even though it was there during the install, and was shown in the bios and device manager.

Click the start button, right click computer, hit manage. Go to storage - disk management on the left, and see if it has a letter. If not, assign it one. That's what fixed it for me.

Thanks guys... very clear and it fixedit right up for me... havn't put any files on there yet but i'm sure i'll have no problems with the drive now.
Thanks
