Mine is in my sig using Folding at Home to get load temp. You are probably going to need a new one what kind do you have now?

sandra doesn't seem to be the best at temps, voltages and speeds. go by your bios or better get motherboard monitor 5 to watch your temps. if my temps were 45 at idle i'd be looking into new hsf's.
with my setup below but now clocked at 1725 and 1.95vcore i'm getting 36/40. so far as i know those are very respectable temps for air cooled. you definatley want to keep your load temps under 50.

37 Full Load ATM because I closed my windows and my mom turned on the heat to blazing overnight as we have a cold house and live in Canada. On the daytime I get 34-35 full load.

Load is running Seti.

Do a search on the forum for asus and temp and you will find that asus temps can give a false reading. Not to say that the rest are acurate because they usually are not, but Asus can give a high reading.

27@idle 38@load 1.84V h20!

anyhow u will get a higher temp with that t-bird, it just plain sucks more juice is why. and that heatsink you have will not properly cool that t-bird.
you might be able to hook it up on it but no oc or games just enough to see it post. dont push your luck on such a great chip!

I think that my ASUS readings are pretty right. at 49C my Duron running at 1048 becomes unstable and then i have to go for 1040
My T-Bird is also started to hang at around those temps, really strange but I think that it wouldn't hang if its reall temp was 39-44/45...

Asus, does give high ratings I think, at least in their lastest bios update.

My case temps was like 20 degrees reported in MBM. But it was freezing and at least 10 degrees (Believe me with the ice and cold winter and open window).

would it be more informative to also mention whether the system is cased, cover opened, not cased when mentioning the temperature? I mean with 22C air-con, without a case, with a 60db Delta screamer, maintaining a stable overclocked system is relatively advantageous...

I full load @ 38C and idle @ 35C with my Duron 1.2ghz @ 1333 1.75v (default vcore).

Im using a ThermalTake Valcano 6cu+ heatsink with a 120mm sucking out of the heatsink and a 80mm fan blowing into it.

Look for pictures @ daocplace.com

Coming soon!
