i have a 6970 and i was wondering if i flashed a 6950 to 6970 could i crossfire with my 6970 still with same performance as if i had a normal 6970? and another question... i know im full of them

but is 8x8x going to bottleneck 6970's?

I don't see why not. As to running at 8x PCI-E, you might lose 1-2% of performance, but that would be outweighed by running Crossfire.
