Nvidia 9800GT 512mb

My 9800GT is extremely hot, it's around 42 Degrees idle straight after a good clean.
Can I get a fan upgrade, or does anyone have any ideas why it is so hot?
I'm getting BSoD when playing Fallout: New Vegas at Med graphics and it says I should be able to play on high.

Are you using the newest drivers because my 2 brand new eVGA GTX 460 1GBs I get the BSOD sometimes. Try the older 260.99 drivers and see if that helps. Get back to us soon.
