Is my mobo dieing?

A couple of day ago, I posted about a problem I have when changing the MHC voltage: http://www.overclockers.com/forums/s...d.php?t=668004

In short: When I change my MHC voltage I often get lock ups.

And since I posted that, things have gotten worse. Now I'm not able to get over 1.42V at all. First 1.46V was max, then 1.44v and now 1.42V. So I'm thinking that my NB might be degrading very fast and thats why I get these lock ups? I can run the computer stable though if I dont OC very much, and that makes me wonder. If the NB is going down, shouldn't it create instability at lower clocks/voltages as well?

What do you guys think? Should I start looking around for a new mobo, or could it be a setting that I'm not aware of, thats causing this?

I'm going cold within a month (I hope!), and will start to push my hardware really hard. I dont want to be held back by a crippled mobo, so I need to figure this out soon. So please help me out, once again

Benching or not, I would be a bit concerned with the behavior that you are experiencing. If it's still under warranty, the RMA route might be the smartest/safest route to go, IMO.

However, I don't know if it's specifically the NB or perhaps one of the voltage regulators (or whatever) on your system board.

That doesn't sound good.

I'd pull the NB/mosfet heatsink off and replace the thermal paste on the NB, it may be roasted.

Leave the thermal pad for the mosfets alone, though.

I already replaced the TIM on the NB Bob
