q6600 w/ asus p5p43td usb3 overclock

Hi guys! I'm new here. Need some advice on how to proceed w/ my overclock. I want to achieve the best settings @ 3.4Ghz (3.6 if possible xD)

For starters, here's my system specs:
MB - Asus P5P43TD USB3
CPU - Intel Q6600 G0
RAM - G.Skill 2x2GB DDR3-1600 (F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO)
Cool - Thermalright Venomous-X

My Q6600 is currently stable at 3.3Ghz with the ff settings:
FSB - 415x8
FSB Strap to North Bridge - 400
DRAM Frequency - 1333Mhz
VCore - 1.43v
NB - 1.41v
SB - 1.5V
VTT - 1.30v

Do I push my FSB to 425 to achieve 3.4Ghz or I just use a multiplier of x9 and lower my FSB? Which one is better?

If possible, I want to maximize my RAM and use DDR3-1600 but I always fail at POST with FSB - 400, FSB Strap to North Bridge - 333, DRAM Frequency - DDR3-1601Mhz. Any suggestions?
My current timings are 9-9-9-24 @ 1.4125V

Thanks!

Set your DRAM/FSB 1:1 and see if you can push your overclock a little further. That RAM is already overkill for that CPU/overclock (1066 would be more than enough) and pushing it beyond its specs is not going to do much at all performance wise and just cause system instability.

Appreciate your response King. With my current settings, I pushed my FSB to the limit and the max I can set without failing at POST is 420. If I set my multiplier at x9, I can successfully boot in Windows. But I always get an error on Core0 in Prime95. I have already set my Voltages to the limit = NB - 1.49v (max on my board), VCore - 1.55, VTT - 1.5), but still no luck. I think I need to set my VCore past 1.55 but I'm afraid I might toast my CPU xD.

I just decided to go back @ 3.36Ghz and tried your recommendation:
FSB - 420x8
FSB to North Strap - 400
DRAM Frequency - 840
RAM Timings - 5-5-5-15

So now, the FSB: DRAM Ratio is 1:1, but still I can't get past FSB of 420. And the benchmark results is lower compared with an FSB: DRAM Ratio of 3:5. Here's the comparison from AIDA64:

With FSB: DRAM Ratio of 3:4, the results are a little closer:

What do you think?

Right now, I'm trying with a lower FSB - 378 with a multiplier of 9 to achieve 3.4Ghz. Still haven't decided what FSB: DRAM Ratio to use.

You can sometimes hit FSB 'holes' where over a small range the board wont work so try a few settings beyond that point. Your voltages are already very high, how are your temps looking? Try testing the system with small FTT's to see if its really the CPU or if its the FSB thats having issues. At recomended timings and voltages with the DRAM and FSB at 1:1 the RAM shouldnt be the problem.
