4Gig--how many bytes do you show?

I'm pulling my hair out with this darn 2008 server...

Continuously rebooting when I insert 8 gig of RAM (4 x 2gig) My other workstations here that have 4 gig show 4193280K, the server with 4 gig shows 4186112K. Is this ok? I'm thinking no...



Also, Windows 2008 can use drives for windows 7 correct? Its the same kernel, right?

If you run a 32bit Operating system or your motherboard is limited to 4GB you won't go past 4GB period.

Server 2008 Enterprise or Datacenter editions have PAE support for up to 64GB.

Is the BIOS set up for 8GB of RAM? That's all i can think of... is it getting to the Windows loading screen, or just rePOSTing over and over?
