In short words, MUCH MUCH better. Here, look at this review.

Reviews - Corsair HX850 850W

Summary

The long wait for a modular 850W unit from Corsair is at last over, and I do hereby declare that this unit was worth waiting for. Not only is this the most efficient Corsair I've ever looked at, it's also the best performing. Now, all Corsair needs is a CWT DSR or similar unit to sit on top of the mountain as an HX1200, and Corsair will be laughing all the way to the bank. Not that they aren't already.

The Good:

fantastically efficient
12V ripple suppression second only to a very few high end units
very, very stable regulation
good value

The Bad:

loose heatsink screws yet again

The Mediocre:

take the children and yourself and hide out in the cellar... I'm about to break out my Mike + the Mechanics collection and I'm not going to be shy with the volume knob
