Is there a way to determine a card's physical dimensions before ordering from a place like amazon. I keep having it display specs but it seems to only give the box size/shipping weight.

There are no brick and mortar stores around me where I can see the actual merchandise except best buy (rape).

Are there any ATI(or Nvidia) cards to watch out for due to their extreme size?

go to newegg.com and look at the detailed specs they have, much more in-depth

and the biggest nvidia card are the gtx 480's and with ATI i believe its the 6000 series

thanks for the ideas and the reply, the reason I ask is because I haven't built a pc in a while... not since agp was still hip.

now I'm watching youtube and there are a lot of videos that ward "oh yea such and such card is a monster, make sure you have room for it" A lot of reading to get back into an old hobby.
