I am planning on getting this power supply to power a new rig that I'm making. It will consist of an Overclocked sandy bridge 2600k and crossfired Radeon HD 6970s. There will also be around 8-10 fans hooked up to this along with various peripherals.

What I want to know is... How good is this power supply? How efficient? It seems pretty cheap for 1100w, so I'm not sure if it is of a decent enough quality.

6970s are around 220w each, SB is 95ish, that gives you about 530w before fans and hdds and such.
A corsair 750 would be plenty, maybe an 850 if you feel like cranking the volts up and OCing like mad.

The price is good, though. And if I ever want to add another card or switch to dual 6990s having a high limit would help with making me feel assured. I'd like to know what some people think of the Apevia, but if I hear negative comments on it's performance and such, I might end up getting a corsair 850.

I can't think of any positive comments on an apevia unit. Odds are it's cheap cause it's junk, really.

This is not the same unit (900W) and I can't find any professional reviews on the 1100 but Apevia's reputation has not been very good over the years.

I would take Bobnova's expert advice and get a known quality brand. You're going to need a unit that will give you more than a fair amount of confidence using (Corsair 850).

I see.. Well, there are many types of Corsair 850s, could you post a link to the one that you believe is best? I'm willing to sacrifice more money for quality.

Anything on that list in that power range is fine depending on what's available to you. Shop around for best prices.
