8 pin and 24 pin on p8p67?

Im about to set up a new pc with a p8p67 motherboard.
I believe it has a 8 pin power connector in the top left, and then a 24 pin connector in the mid right.
I use both of these for power, right?
If so, how do you run the 8 pin so it looks pretty decent?

Yes, you need both for the system to be functional.

How you run it depends on where the power supply is locate and how long the run is. If the power supply is in the top, you can run it under the board to hide it. If the power supply is at the bottom, you could run it under your add-in cards.

If your case doesnt have wire holes for the backside panel, you can cut some and run wires back there. Cut a hole in the bottom, then one at the top. This is for a bottom mounted PSU of course, and you might need an extension (depends on case/psu).

Ive also seperated the wires and taped them BEHIND the motherboard when my 8pin power was too short to do on the backpanel of the case. It worked well.

There is enough room behind the board?

Not if the wires are bundled usually. I seperated the wires and taped them down flat.

It depends on the case. Some have extremely short standoffs.

Yeah thideras, thats why I say if you pull the bundle of wires apart and tape them down flat, they will virtually fit under any board. I had 1/8" stand-offs and it worked great You cant just lay it under the board most of the time in the wire bundle and if you have the cable sleeved, youll have to cut it open to do it (yes I know, this makes you sad thid!).

If you want space under the board, you should check out some Norco rackmount cases. They use 1" standoffs. I put the entire 24 pin cable under it.

my PSU are bottom mounted and the 4/8 pin connector is not long enough to route it behind but I was able to run it along the back of the mobo and it's held down in place by PCIe cards. It doesn't show if it's sleeved black as it hides in the shadow well.
