Hi there,

I am currently using a E2180 with MSI G31TM-P35 motherboard and a pair of corsair vs ddr2-667 rams.

I tried to overclock the E2180 without raise the rams freq. by changing the ram/fsb ratio. It was successful to run on 2.8Ghz (280*10) passing prime95 max and small FFTs about 15 minutes. But it crash in max FFTs with 2.85Ghz but didn't with small FFTS. Anyone can suggest some methods to get higher freq? I am a newbie.

Thanks a lot.

try adding some voltage to the chipset, if that doesnt work, add some vcore voltage, little steps at a time.
my e2180 didn't require any voltage until after 3.0ghz, but it hit the wall soon after. minimal ghz gain with a load of vcore.

unfortunately, this motherboard doesn't have any voltage option.. sadness..
