Exclamation Kernel-power event 41

Hey guys. I need help. I was able to get my i7 2600k stable at 4.7 ghz @ 1.365v but this kernel-power event keeps getting me a blue screen of death. Whenever im running the computer it is stable but if i leave it idle, just on, in a few hours my pc restarts automatically and i have disabled the automatic restart after a bsod. What you guys think? In the event log appears this kernel-power 41..

Raising the vcore doesnt do any good. So raising any other voltage would be good? or i was luck enough to get a bad chip?

That entry is likely just Windows whining about not being shut down properly. (because of crash)

Windows 7 apparently can tell when it wasn't shut down with the shutdown command.

I've been having this exact same problem myself for weeks now. I upped my vcore and my dram voltage up just a tad and I haven't BSOD'd yet.

I ran memtest86+ extensively without any error.

I also upped vcore and turned power features off. So as of now I'm testing for stability by only leaving the computer on and it is hanging on, no bsod it was giving me headaches.

AGHHHH!!!!! I went to LMI my computer just a minute ago and it's offline! I called my gf and she said she didn't turn it off when she left for work. It should've rebooted into Windows which causes further concern. I am fearful that is stuck at a blue screen. :'( I hope she's ok.....

Is it bad for a computer to sit on a blue screen for a long time. It's been offline for 1hr.30min. and I won't get home for another 2hr.

If its this kernel-power, it would reboot itself, trust me. Mine even with the automatic reboot disable it wouldnt sit on a kernel bsod... hope its not worse in your case

Mine always seems to get stuck when it's dumping memory. It never gets stuck in the same place and I don't always get the same stop codes but it's always event 41 source: kernel power mode in the event viewer.

Id check your power supplies specs specifically its AMP output and also if its a continual 1000 or a maximum 1000 for 2 minutes

My PSU specs from newegg...

I don't see anything that says 1,000. Did you mean watts by chance? It's 750 watts, should I have more for the hardware that I have?

Output: +3.3V@30A, +5V@28A, +12V@60A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@3.0A

full spec sheet here

sorry goose i was referring to the OPs sparkle but yours should be fine you have more than enough ampage on the 12volt you need a about 35 amps for it stock and since you have 60 your good for overclocking
and 750watt should be more than enough for that single card set up however its not continuous its 750 MAX so you should look into what its continuous output is that could very well be your issue

This page details my power supply efficiency which I believe is what you are referring to. I am not an expert at electricity but looking at the graph I am concerned that my power supply may very well be the root cause of my problem.

Please check out the graphs if you get an opportunity.
