hey guys i just got my vertex 3 the other day and i set it all up with win7 yesterday and followed a lot of the stuff on these two websites:

http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/f...es-with-a-brand-new-SandForce-based-ssd-drive

http://thessdreview.com/ssd-guides/optimization-guides/the-ssd-optimization-guide-2/

but long story short, im having some major problems with windows update (and i really dont want any help on that issue so dont even try, thanks anyway) and im just sick of it basically and i just wanna quickly reinstall win7. anyways, with this sdd ive been reading that u can just stick the disc in as if you were doing a fresh copy of win7, delete the ssd partition, create a new one, quick format, install and "TRIM" will take care of any left over files and what not from the previous installation. is this correct? im like a master of reformatting hdd and all that stuff but when it comes to ssd ive read theyre pretty easy to wreck so i just wanna make sure what im doing is correct/safe before i do it.

cheers

Windows 7 will take care of everything. There are a few tweaks you might think about applying that you can find here on the forums. But as for the actual installation, delete your existing partition and Windows will take care of the rest.
