If you're already at 55* at load, I'm not so sure I would try to push the chip anymore. You're nearly at the thermal limit right now.

This is the only link you should need for air cooled OC'ing up to 4.2ghz.

Whats the ambient temperature of the room the PC is in? The room I was in was REALLY warm and I couldnt get the cpu down below 29*C. Dropped the temp down in the room by 5* and now I'm idling at 20* and hitting load at around 50*.

Also you might try reseating the CPU. Only use about a BB sized drop of AS5 on the center.

Your voltage is really low so not sure why its hitting 55* at load.
 
I think, the 1st thing that you need review is the proper installation of the cooler because 55ºC aren't good with only 400MHz overclock.

In the other hand, you need disable Cool'n'Quite, C1E, PCIE Spread Spectrum and Turbo Core.
