What usually happens is one or more of the little metal standoffs is touching a trace on the bottom of your motherboard that is associated with one of the voltages or a critical signal. The easiest solution is to place a non-conductive washer on each standoff that electrically isolates it from the motherboard. Most decent cases have these washers in the bag of hardware that comes with them. Also, check to make sure you only have standoffs installed where they are needed. There typically are more standoff mounting holes on a case than there are holes in a particular motherboard.
