Ok here is the deal. My computer was running fine right before i left for work, I shut it down, go to work, get home, try to turn it on and boom explorer.exe doesn't load. The desktop background is there, i can move the mouse can adjust the resolution, but I cannot get into the video card settings. If it try control alt delete the screen goes black and I cannot do anything.
I went into the bios and reset to default settings because before this i was getting a screen telling me my overclocking failed, but it was running at these settings for almost two months, and setting the bois to default resulted in the same outcome. I then booted windows in safe mode and it loaded just fine, when i went to access the video card it told me the drivers for my video card had something wrong with them, idk if this is because of the safe mode or what. I tried a system restore to 4 days ago when the pc was running just fine and this also resulted in exactly what was described above. I am thinking this is a hardware issue? any thoughts, need help asap.
