Mission Impossible?

Well it's been a few years since I tore down my last water cooled rig and I got the itching to do it again. I swear it's a sickness.

Anyway, I'm looking for a little input on the best way to go about it. I'm looking for quietness, that's a BIG factor here. I don't like noisy fans, in fact I despise them. With that being said I'm going to be cooling either an i5 2500k or an i7 2600k and up to 3 GPU's. Don't worry about money, I got that covered.

The big questions are which case and what fans/rad combo to go for. My initial idea was a 4x 120mm for the GPU's up top and either a 3x 120mm or 2x 120mm in the front of a case for the CPU. Which leads to the cases. I'm a big Lian Li guy, always liked their gear. The 800d looks promising as does the Lian Li PC-V2120X. Both are expensive with the Lian Li taking the lead here.

So what say you? Hypothetically, how would you do it?

Edit to add: I guess I Should mention that windows don't matter to me. I don't like them but now a days you can't buy a case without some strange angle or window placement somewhere in the design. Also, I looked at Case Labs and I don't need a case the size of a fridge. MM cases are nices but I don't want a cube under desk and their towers are lacking in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply Conumdrum. I checked out the DD cases like you suggested. Too many windows. Way to much acrylic. I do appreciate the response though.

Well you want low noise. And yea, your gonna need a 120x4 for the GPUs, and the CPU a 120x2, more like 120x3 if noise is a concern, So your choices are limited. You need something BIG.

Looks like you have considered options, good luck. Your kinda limited because your heat requirements say... Go Big.

Yep, I agree with that 100%. You can't beat the laws of physics. Quiet and that much heatload = big old case.

As for the cpu loop, you are going to need at least a 120.3 rad. I have my 2600k running at 4.5 on a 120.2 rad with good temps, but it also has 2000 rpm fans on it too. I am planning to phase in an RX360 rad with 3 Yate Loon low speed fans in it's place soon. And depending on the pgu choices you make, even a 120.4 rad might be marginal for quiet gpu cooling.

My case choice would be a MM Ascencion case for the build, or at least an extended U2-UFO case. Plenty of room for rads with either.
