Asus Motherboard Questions

Im building my first gaming computer and need help deciding on a board and cpu. Im pretty set on the phenom x4 970 cpu but the motherboard is a whole other issue. asus evo series seems to have some mixsed reviews when it comes to windows 7 64bit. any thoughts on which board to go with?

that is a great entry level board that will be pretty future proof.
If you plan on overclocking, I would go with a 955 or 965 CPU over the 970, because they are all basically the same chip, except with a different stock multi. If you want to go higher, get the 980, because it is an E0 stepping and should overclock much better.
