Need help undervolting my PC

Hello. First let me explain my case:

I had a PC running a Halion 500W Power Supply and a HD 5670 1gb DDR5. The temps were 30~ºC idle and 50~ºC under load. Then I got a GTX 460 SE 1gb DDR5, at first the temperatures were a little higher, and I was adviced to change the power supply, and I bought a Cooler Master GX 650W.

My HDD had a problem some days before so I had to reformat it. Once I put together my PC I inmediately noticed that the fan was spinning faster, so I checked the temperatures and I they were higher: (http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o68/Clerono/idle.jpg), Idle was almost 40-45~ºC. And under load the temperatures rose a lot: (http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o68/Clerono/load.jpg).

As you can see in the pictures, the voltages are higher than the default settings, so Im thinking about undervolting my CPU. Im using stock fan for the core. I tried lowering the voltage using AMD OverDrive but after a reboot they were back to default.

This are some screens from my BIOS, I need help figuring out what should I modify since Im very new at all this. I intend to keep Cool n Quiet.

Temp and voltage I got AFTER letting my PC cool for at least 30 minutes: http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/SAM_0090.jpg

Bios MB Inteliggent Tweaker: http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...o/SAM_0091.jpg

Now, I dont want to Overclock, I dont own any cooling devices other than stock and a fan so Im not into that yet. I would really appreciate any help, I literally cant work because rendering scenes will make the CPU overheat. Thank you

Vcore is the one you want to adjust downward. You shouldn't need 1.392 to run the CPU at stock frequencies. 1.325-1.335 volts should be enough.

Showing us idle temps in bios is pretty worthless. Download and install HWMonitor and Prime95. Open HWMonitor and leave it open while you run Prime95 blend test for 10-20 minutes. Then upload a pic of HWMonitor.

Yes, I know that its too much voltage, in fact, I want to change it to 1.25v since its a good value people keep telling me to undervolt to.

What I was asking actually is what setting do I want to modify in the Bios, to be exact, in the System Voltage part.

I already told you: "vcore". It's right there in the bios picture you linked. "Vcore" refers to the voltage given to the CPU cores.

Thank you.

Already undervolted it to 1.225v and everything seems better.

Thanks a lot again you saved a guy who had to turn in his work on tuesday and couldnt finish it. May whatever god you pray to bless you.

You're welcome. Glad you got it worked out.

Just for clarification sake since you raised the issue, I pray to the God who made heaven and earth, the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ.
