BluRay Drive for HTPC

I'd like to replace the BluRay ROM (LG BluRay/HDDVD) in my HTPC. Anyone have experience/recommendations with newer current model BluRay drives? Not sure that I need a burner, but if the cost is right I'll get one. Firmware updates were stopped on my current BR drive which prevents it from playing some newer releases.

I have had good luck so far with my LG Blu Ray Burner. No issues playing or burning blu rays whatsoever. I bought mine from Frys on sale (retail version).
