Question Speakers only work when my hand is on them??

My 2.1 speaker system for my computer was working fine. Then poof..I play any type of sound file..video/mp3 (different softwares), and the volume is SUPER Low..but when I touch the side of the speaker, which is a hard plastic, all of a sudden the speakers are working. I know the human body has electrical current coming out of it..But still, what's up w/my speakers that would cause this???

Perhaps something is not plugged in all the way? Try to unplug and replug each cable/connection to make sure it's secure.

Can you duplicate this issue by plugging the speakers into a different device, like an MP3 player?

That's a great idea, I hadn't thought of that actually. Thanks...SO, I went to do that, and I was moving the subwoofer, and found a barely loose cable. I'm surprised that caused the problem. For now at least the problem is solved..time will tell.

Thanks for your help!
