As the title says, strictly for gaming and a $150 budget BUT I would prefer a 24'' can someone recommend best for $100ish, best for $150ish and best for $200ish and the differences and why or why not to spend or not to spend more or less. Im more of a bang for my buck kind of guy so keep that in mind.

If you can keep an eye on dealnews.com I see a 24'' Dell ST2410 show up quite often for around $170-$190

I've heard good things about Acer screens, there is also an Asus 24'' that a lot of people have recommended that I have seen. I'll see if I can find the link for you.

It's just under $200 for the screen which is above your price range, I've seen it go on sale before but it isn't right now.

Here's an LED

For $165. It has built in speakers but those obviously don't need to be used.

Im currently on a 19'' so will 1920x1080 run well on a gtx 460? I think it will be fine my friend seems to think it will not be so great though...cause hes a debby downer...

1920*1080 runs pretty nice on a gtx 460. Ive got a pair of those(havnt used since i got the 2nd card) and I run SC2 at 1080p on high no problems. Im expecting that with the addition of my 2nd card ultra will be playable @ 1080p on the 460s.

monitor size has nothing to do with videocard performance. Pixels are pixels, so 1920x1080 is the same regardless of it being a 7" or 70" monitor.

Note. my definition of playable is never dropping below 50 FPS

Hannsg is slowly gaining a good reputation as a budget solution. At your price point you're going to have to be flexible. :)
