Question Help selecting an HDD

So I am going to purchase a:

i5 2500k
Seasonic X 650w PSU
Gigabyte Z68XP - UD3P
8gb Gskill ram 1600

I need help choosing an hdd as I have it down to 2 drives

Samsung 1tb

or

WD 1tb caviar black
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136533

I have purchased the samsung before but it was defective, so I am not sure if I should take a chance with it. However, I notice it is still recommended by a lot of people. Any advice would be helpful

Hi josmil1! Welcome to the forum.

I'd go with the WD drive; it's 64MB vs 32MB for the cache, and it runs @ 6.0Gb/s (SATA 3). Ignoring the price difference, it appears to be the better HD.

Enjoy the new build,
-JT
