Noob to watercooling, just wondering if this is a good setup for a ga-x58a-oc mobo and haf 22 chassis

The rad is a very old design, bad flow.

You don't want 1/4" ID for tubing, it kills the flow rate. Unless you mean G1/4 threads. ALL fittings are G1/4 threads, so that doesn't matter. You have to have the OD of the tubing for compression fittings, they have to match exactly.

The 3/8" conversion on that pump is the ID of the tubing, not the OD. Your tubing won't work.

24VDC pump kit is worthless, all you add is heat dump to the liquid for a very very small gain in pumping power and your teeny loop doesn't need it.

We have wonderful stickies at the top of this forum, you should start there. Don't buy ANYTHING for at least a week till you learn lots.
