Session Data in Javascript?

I am trying to make an application that asks the user to click through several tiers of <input type="button" /> options.

I need a way to record which buttons get click so I can run different js functions based on what the user clicked.

For example:
Tier 1 [A, B, C]
Tier 2 [D, E, F]
Tier 3 [G, H, I]

How would I record whether someone click A, F, and H vs B, D, and G? And then run a unique script based on whatever buttons were recorded?

Sounds like homework.
Session is not relevant.
Try divs, CSS visibility, and onClick.

It's sort of funny, because I pretty much wrote a similar thing for the OP in his/her other thread. If you actually look at the JavaScript I wrote it's very similar to what you're asking for.
