Good editor for fraps videos.

So here's my problem, I need a decent editor for my game videos recorded with Fraps. I've been struggling with Lightworks a lot. It seems to be a very powerful program but it has a steep learning curve and im having trouble with it. I would just use windows movie maker but while lightworks is to advanced its to basic and it also really doesn't handle the big raw format 1080 avi's you get from fraps.

So are there any FREE video editors out there you guys use and would recommend?

What are you trying to do with the videos, specifically? If you are just cutting and stitching videos, VirtualDub can easily do this.

Well id also like to add audio, like say I want to narrate a tutorial video. Maybe throw some basic effects in.
