About to place the order, any last second recommendations??

This is my first build, and i'm looking for a gaming rig for around $1300-$1500. Any tweaks or changes i should do? Also i haven't picked a moniter yet any suggestions?

Now here's the build so far,
CPU: Core i5 2500K LGA 1155
MOBO: ASUS P8P67 PRO
Case: Cooler master HAF X
GPU: ZT-50303-10M GTX 560 Ti Overclocked 1024MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.0 x16
RAM:CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Hard drive: Western digital Caviar Black 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5"
CPU cooler: Cooler master Hyper N520 Universal
Power source: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-850TX 850W

Penny for your thoughts?

a few things, you can drop to a cheaper 2x2gb kit of ram since for gaming you won't need more than that. Also you can get a smaller PSU, 650 watt will do. but the rest seems OK, I might upgrade to the coolmaster hyper 212+

as for the monitor, given the GPU you have select I would suggest a 1080p monitor. my personal favourites are ASUS and BenQ.

hope that helps a bit

Check this out:

Pretty similar to what you want, but a good bit cheaper. Only difference is case/HDD. You don't need an 850w, so the 750w will do fine (even 750w is overkill really)

I'd get an SSD over getting a second card. That card should be plenty to start off with.

Check out the 64gb/128gb Crucial M4's for an awesome SSD. The performance gain would be much more noticeable with an SSD than a second 560 I think.

Just ordered a bunch of stuff myself.

Although you won't need that much ram due to the price i would get the 8gb, windows pretty mich eats up 1gb of that so why not be a little future ready.

As for the power supply the tx or hx 750 from corsair is more than enough. I would recommend the hx750 though because it's modular.

Go for the ssd if you have enough left over it really does make a drastic difference.

Throw in a monitor and SSD, this should be within your budget. Great to upgrade to Crossfired 6950s too.

Yup. I like that better than the original config.
I'm unclear as to whether 1300 to 1500 includes the monitor? Because if not, you can build a ridiculously powerful machine for 1500.

Dude that is such a great setup. And i second the dual 6970's.

Certainly look at the SSD and for a really really good monitor look at the u2311h by dell.
