I've used ghost and acronis true image for years, but I'm looking for a free alternative that will make cloning/imaging of my drives just as easy without the added cost.

I've looked at Clonezilla and from what I've been told and read it seems to be the most widely used of the free drive utilities.

How is the reliability? How easy is it to recover a drive from a stored image?

Those are my main concerns as well as what other solutions you guys have used.

My usage is pretty simple. I'm building a new server and want to back up the old OS drive image to an alternate drive in case something goes wrong and I have to recover quickly. This server can't be down for long because it records all of my TV and I'd like to be able to quickly recover if I screw something up during the initial install. I plan to create images as the installation progresses so I can return to a specific point just in case.

What do you guys use?
