Hello mates I have q6600 G. Now I can buy the Q9650 seconhand. (Mobo p5q)

-> Do you recommend me to replace the q6600 for Q9650?

I want to overclock the Q9650. Do I need to take care some things like Vid? Step? Ecc? Is it as good as q9550 E0 for ocing?

Let me know your opinion please.

Unless you are getting that Q9650 REALLY cheap or free, I wouldnt bother. Its only a few % faster than a Q6600 clock for clock. Save for a more noticeable upgrade (Sandy bridge).
 
thanks EarthDog, so is the plus cache of 9650 negligibile? (considering the q6600)
 
plus cache? You mean the additional cache? Like I said clock for clock the Penryn (Q9650) is only around 10% faster than the Q6600 chips. I wouldnt bother upgrading to that, no. Save your money for a real upgrade.
