My rig is in my sig.

I can only do 4.3ghz with everything on auto.

I have a setting where I can boot into windows @ 4.5 ghz, but not stable at all.

Any suggestions or is 4.3ghz my limit?

I see no sig.

First thing to do is take vcore off AUTO, that generally overvolts to hell and back.
See what you can do with 1.35v, and go from there.

These newer i5s and i7s have been incredibly frustrating to overclock with all honesty; they scale wonderfully up to the point where you hit a multiplier wall; from that point on it takes such an incredible amount of voltage to hit a mere 100mhz more it becomes impractical to continue

By far the best guide I've seen for Sandybridge is here:

(note its from an asus rep)

Yeah I was using the mobile version

I have a friend who has an Alienware M17X with an i7 2600k and he tells me that it is at 5.1GHz stable. He says 5.6GHz is the max. I don't know what his voltages or bus speeds are though.
